4th Ave Arch.

I've always been fond of this arch.  The F train (and now the G) travels over it.  4th Ave under it.  It looks old and ugly now but if you pay attention to the details it was probably very beautiful when it opened.  Apparently it's restoration is part of this big Culver Viaduct MTA project.  I'll keep track of the progress, plus I'll add other details of this arch in future postings, to try to show you the beauty I see in it.

I read that the renovation of this arch has been postponed, actually. I don't think they plan on touching it any time soon.

Where did you read that? I just checked the Park Slope Civil Council website, who's been pushing the project for a long time and It doesn't say anything about postponing it. Neither does that MTA site. At least that's what I found.
