The new Barklays Center, seen from the north end of 5th Avenue. Opened last Friday Sept 21st, 2012. This marks one of the northern edges of the neighborhood. Some people like it, a lot of people hate it. I wish it wasn't there, but it is what it is. It'll be interesting to see how this part of the neighborhood evolves around it.

While standing outside of Flatbush Farm I saw a perfect photo opportunity of a bike in need of some love propped up against a no bikes sign. Then right next to it, I saw a piece of litter that happened to be a print of Bill Cunningham on his bike. Double score!
Unfortunately I was carry my sick puppy instead of my sick DSLR (creative usage of the word sick intended :) so my iPhone had to suffice.
My favorite bicycle store in the Slope. Corner of 6th Ave & 9th Street. Knowledgable yet not arrogant or condescending, which seems common in nyc bike stores. Nice people run this place. Plus, this red building is kind of beautiful.
Do you need to schlep your 4 kids to the food co-op? Just throw them in the bucket.
